Scott brings to our team a strong background in construction and engineering.After serving in the Army with one tour in Viet Nam, he obtained a degree in Applied Electrical Science from Northwest Iowa Technical College.For over thirty years he worked for John Deere in Dubuque, IA as an Engineering Test Technician before becoming involved in Real Estate Sales.During his employment at John Deere Scott had been involved in building and remodeling homes in Galena, the Galena Territory, and the Tri-State areas.While also restoring and remodeling historic homes in the Galena area, Scott and his wife Linda were the original owners and builders of the Log Cabin Guest House located on Chetlain Lane in Galena.The original log cabins were built in the 1800's and by labeling the logs individually, disassembling them, Scott then reconstructed them on the property.During their ownership the Log Cabin Guest House held the highest occupancy rate of all Guest Houses, Bed and Breakfasts, and Hotels in Jo Daviess County.With his solid experience in all phases of construction from the footings to the roof including restoration, and his added experience in the hospitality business, Scott can help you make an informed decision on your next purchase or sale of real estate.
