Bruce Etherington went to Highgrove, the home of Prince Charles, in recognition of his work developing British Food Fortnight in Wales.
The scheme aims to encourage people to source healthy food locally.Bruce is Director of SETPOINT Wales, a DTI -backed project based at the University of Glamorgan, and his work has been focussed on encouraging more pupils to take scientific and technological qualifications and careers.He introduced British Food Fortnight to Wales in 2004 in an attempt to help address the healthy eating agenda whilst helping young people to learn how their food is part of a global economy with some countries' economies being dependent upon our market. -
