Tony Estrella, Artistic Director Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Tony has been an actor and director with The Gamm/Alias Stage for over seven years.He has appeared in more than a dozen productions - most recently as Valere in La Bête.Other productions include The Lonesome West, Crime and Punishment, Red Noses, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Julius Caesar, The Crucible, The Homecoming, The Tempest, Travesties, The Grapes of Wrath, Much Ado About Nothing and the title roles in Hamlet and Henry V. He directed the company's productions of Twelfth Night, The Beard of Avon, An Enemy of the People, A Child's Christmas in Wales (2003), Hot L Baltimore and Uncle Vanya.
Tony has appeared in theaters throughout New England including Trinity Repertory Company, Boston Playwrights, American Stage Festival, Wheelock Family Theatre, and The Worcester Forum Theatre.In addition to being The Gamm's artistic director, he teaches acting and script analysis at the University of Rhode Island, where he has been on the theater faculty for the past nine years.
Tony will be appearing in Martin Scorsese's upcoming film The Departed, two episodes of the new Showtime series Brotherhood and Disney's feature film Underdog.
