Bill worked as a hydrologist for the State of Colorado. He previously worked as superintendent of the Amity Canal for many years. Bill was a member of the Methodist Church in Las Animas, a life member of the VFW Post No. 2411 in Las Animas, having served several years in the U.S. Army in post World War II Germany. He also belonged for many years to the Masonic Lodge in Holly, CO.
Bill loved to play music and was a part of several bands over the years. Bill and family moved to Las Animas in 1978 from Holly. He served as a city councilman and later as the mayor of Las Animas until his health forced him to retire.
