Katie attends Alpha Secondary High School in Burnaby, BC.She competes at the highest level of fastpitch in British Columbia for the Poco Ravens (midget / U18) and has competed with West Coast Softball Academy at several tournaments in the US.For the past 8 years, Katie's main position has been a pitcher but has also successfully played every infield and outfield position with the exception of back catcher.Her average fast ball speed is 58 mph.
Katie will be attending the June 9th 2006 NFCA Las Vegas Recruiting Camp.She is enrolled in both pitching and infield clinics and she and her team will be playing in the weekend tournament.November 2005 she attended the NFCA Ronald McDonald Recruiting Camp in Houston, Texas.
Much of Katie's off season training is spent at West Coast Academy where she not only enhances her softball skills but works to improve her physical fitness by working with a trainer on core strength training.
Katie has a cheerful and determined personality, getting along well with all her peers.She works hard at her softball skills and puts into action all lessons taught from her coaches.She will be a valuable asset to any college or university.
