With a strong background in sports and entertainment marketing, an eye for detail and a reputation for taking projects from concept to reality, Kae Erickson continues to make her mark as a leader in cutting edge sporting goods products, market positioning, event marketing and promotions. Ms. Erickson currently serves as Vice President, Promotion Services for RPMC, a full service entertainment, music, sports and travel promotions agency in Southern California.In this capacity, she develops and oversees agency business that integrates the promotional elements of event marketing, media promotions, and sweepstakes.Most recently, Ms. Erickson directed Cartoon Network's two-year summer promotional initiative Cartoon Cartoons On Tour which won the 2000 Best of Class Reggie award and was featured in a November ,99 issue of BrandWeek Magazine where the promotion was credited for increasing Cartoon Network viewership by 20%.Ms. Erickson is a general partner with One Punch Productions, a sports and entertainment marketing company founded in 1992 in support of its belief in grass roots marketing that remains true to the consumer.One Punch Productions owns and markets a line of in-line skating apparel and wheels, trademarked Hardline, that targets the primarily male aggressive skater and has been sold in 18 countries throughout the world. As Director of Event and Entertainment Marketing at Rollerblade, Inc. through its notorious growth stages, Ms. Erickson created and implemented the event marketing and grass roots programs that are responsible for defining the sport of in-line skating.The approach was based on a keen understanding of the market and consumer needs all with the underlying goal of putting millions of people on skates.With the fast paced growth of the sport and the company, Ms. Erickson had the unique opportunity of experiencing tremendous growth of both a business and a sport in a very short period of time. With the experience of working on both sides of the sports and entertainment business, not only as a product marketer but also as an event producer, Ms. Erickson understands the important role that promotion plays in selling product.Throughout her career, Ms. Erickson has had success in developing events, programs, sponsorships and promotions all designed to drive the sale of product and believes that promotional relationships can play an important role in the marketing and positioning strategies of bringing new products to the market.At Rollerblade she developed a cross-promotional relationship with Mattel that completely opened up the children,s market and launched the Microblade skate into the number one selling position.Ms. Erickson insists that all aspects of her work carry professionalism, a solid approach with meaning, combined with a high percentage of fun!
