Joanne Erickson first visited Steamboat Springs in 1989.She developed a passion for everything that Steamboat has to offer: from the water slide at the downtown hot springs, to the champagne powder on Mt. Werner.Unfortunately, other commitments kept Joanne from immediately moving to Steamboat (telecommuting had not yet been invented.) Joanne grew up in Europe, and speaks Spanish and French.She traveled all over the world early in her professional life.She covered Central and South America as an International banker.Following that, she worked for an oil service company with world-wide operations.Later she owned and operated an adventure travel company, providing hiking trips in the Himalayas.In 2002, Joanne began volunteering her services with various humanitarian organizations.Most recently she served in Uganda with Doctors Without Borders as the Financial Administrator.Despite all her travels to exotic locales, Joanne's love of Steamboat and the Yampa Valley was a constant: she frequently returned to Steamboat for ski vacations.In 2004, she purchased a home near the ski slopes, and is proud to be a local resident.Joanne has an MBA with a focus in Finance and Accounting.In addition to her high attention to detail, Joanne believes her most important strength is integrity.Joanne is excited to be a part of the High Mountain Sotheby's International Realty team.
