Duane brings to this office expertise gained through his previous experiences in the highlands of Bolivia while working with the Aymara Indian people.He provided counsel and help in preparing leaders for the church and conducted training and teaching seminars.He was involved in several educational projects as director of TEE (Theological Education by Extension) and as a writer of some books in the TEE course of study.Duane was a member of the board of the Bolivian Evangelical University in Santa Cruz and served as rector of Saint Paul Theological Seminary (an inter-denominational seminary with about 100 students).He also taught at the seminary and at the Holiness Bible Institute, which is administered by the Bolivian Evangelical Holiness Church.
Jessie, while in Bolivia, along with home and hospitality responsibilities, filled various capacities such as field council secretary, field coordinator for the mission newsletter and the monthly Prayer Prompter.
As Executive Director of Missions Duane spends time participating in missions conventions, recruiting new missionaries, communicating the missions work of The Evangelical Church to all of its members in various ways and also travels to the mission fields to encourage, evaluate, research and minister.Jessie travels with Duane as often as possible.
