Dan Erickson
Dan Erickson approaches nonprofits with the perspective that a well-managed resource development program serves as the backbone of a healthy organization, helping foster strong long-term relationships between the agency and its constituents.
Dan has served a variety of organizations over the past eight years in the area of resource development, initially entering the field in roles related to database administration, writing and direct mail production for a Chicago, IL university. When that institution embarked on its first multi-million dollar campaign, Dan established and managed a proactive prospect research program. He remains active in that increasingly important segment of effective fundraising as a member of APRA, the Association of Prospect Researchers for Advancement.
In addition to his valuable 'behind the scenes' development experience, Dan most recently participated in front-line fundraising efforts as advancement director of a school in Cincinnati, OH. Prior to that he directed a high-end annual giving program in Chicago at the national headquarters of a faith-based organization and successfully solicited hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants as Director of Corporate and Foundation Support, also in Chicago.
Dan is a member of AFP, Association for Fundraising Professionals, and has a degree in Communications from North Park University. His graduate studies include an emphasis in resource development at North Park University's School of Business and Nonprofit Management.Dan enjoys spending time with his family and can sometimes be found performing his juggling act with flaming torches.
