Corey Erdman is a former political science student at Wilfrid Laurier Univeristy, and a card-carrying member of the NDP.He often travels to the U.S. to watch his favourite baseball and hockey teams play, and to write about the Rochester Americans for a Buffalo magazine.Erdman does not currently have a driver's license; he had never needed one. When he turned 18, his parents could no longer "identify" him to the passport office, but he wasn't of age to get a BYID from the liquor store, nor did he have a health card with his picture on it.He wasn't joining the military, either. When he accepted that it would be necessary for him to get a passport, he realized that the whole ordeal was one mess of intricate pre-requisites; he needed a piece of ID before he could get his passport, and he didn't have one.It was an irritating year of presenting his birth certificate at the border and smoothing things over with the officer.
"It was a giant inconvenience to get a passport," Erdman said.

"Nobody wants that," says Erdman.
...
"It's his very nature as a Conservative prime minister, to get along with a Republican president," said Erdman.
...
"Both Obama and [Hilary] Clinton have stated publicly that they will look into changing NAFTA," says Erdman.
