Carol Erdman , brings over 15 years of human resources , performance technology , and organizational development experience to the WI-LCC.Carol combines a broad range of H.R. expertise , including the ability to answer technical/regulatory questions , with seasoned facilitation skills , uplifting examples , and humor to make learning meaningful and fun.
Her experience in employee relations , affirmative action and diversity awareness , compensation and benefits , organizational development , recruitment and retention is coupled with a master's degree in adult education and eleven years of expertise in training development and presentation including comprehensive leadership development programs.
Well grounded in adult learning theory , her courses combine assessment tools , facilitated group discussion , and job-aids that participants can begin using upon return to their jobs.In this way , the training is not one-time-learning ; improved ways of doing business are woven into the employee's work routine , she says.
Carol is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland , Baltimore County Campus , teaching graduate level courses , Performance Technology and Consulting Practices , in the ISD Program.She volunteers locally with the Center for Poverty Solutions , providing career counseling and training.
KK Arora , is the founder and Vice President of the of LCC and the creator of its Human Capital Management ( HCM ) methodology , an integrated approach to the acquisition , development , motivation , and retention of high-tech human capital.
Since he started the Institute in 1991 , KK has developed it from a corporate university to a graduate school for the wireless industry.The Institute researches the engineering design process for the emerging wireless technologies ; develops job-centered , just-in-time , engineering , professional , and management development curricula for LCC's clients and employees ; and is also involved with knowledge and quality management issues for LCC and its clients.
As the Vice President of LCC's Human Capital Management , he has managed human resources for the world's largest independent group of RF engineers.He has hired hundreds of wireless and fixed network engineers , network deployment professionals , and other technical personnel for worldwide deployment ; established human resource functions for LCC's overseas offices ; and created an extensive HR support structure for LCC's sizable expatriate work-force.
KK has almost 20 years experience in R&D , training , technology transfer , learning organizations , knowledge management , organizational development ( O/D ) , recruiting , and human resource ( HR ) .He has managed , developed , and taught high-tech training programs at Panhandle , Lockheed Martin , Control Data , Southern Methodist University , and on the National Technical University TV network.He has published two books and several papers in Human Resource , Radio Astronomy , and Computer Science , including a pioneering work in multimedia training.
His education includes an MS and doctoral work in Computer Science at SMU , a master's in Business Systems from Boston University , BS with Math/Physics twin majors from Western Michigan University , and extensive graduate work in Radio Astronomy.He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers , Society for Human Resource Management , and American Society for Training & Development.
