Pinkney B. Epps is a graduate of South Carolina State University with a Dual BS degree. He is also a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Master of Public Health degree in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior Programs. Pinkney comes to the Commission on Higher Education from the University of South Carolina - Columbia TRIO Program. He is a former High School Counselor for the Educational Talent Search Program where he worked with schools in all three local school districts in the Columbia area. Prior to the last year and a half, Pinkney worked for more than 10 years in non-profit management at the higher education level, for USC, and for major non-profits such as Save the Children, the Boys & Girls Club of the Midlands, and AmeriCorps.
