Art was employed by BP Exploration and related entities (Sohio Petroleum Company, Standard Oil Production Company, Tex/Con Oil & Gas) for 11 years. The first 6 years were spent in various land department positions including District Landman for the Mid-Continent Region. The last 5 years were spent in various budget, planning, acquisitions, divestitures, and special project positions. After leaving BP in 1991, Art and his wife Linda formed Ensley Properties, Inc. and began providing the services described.

Art was briefly employed by Cody Energy, Inc. as Vice President of Acquisitions and Land. Through Ensley Properties, Inc., and as an employee of Cody, Art was a principal contributor to numerous transactions resulting in Cody’s asset foundation. Art’s land and transaction experience is a good combination for identifying, evaluating and closing property transactions. Art is a 1980 graduate of the University of Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in Mineral Land Management.
