   From selling heavy vehicles to half a dozen countries in Europe and Africa to marketing UPS in India Anand Ekbote has done it all. A gold-medallist from IIT (New Delhi), the managing director of Emerson Network Power (India) heads a company with daunting legacies - the Tata brand equity and Liebert technology and process know-how.

   A Bachelor in Electronic Engineering from IIT (New Delhi) and an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, Ekbote joined the Tata Administrative Services in 1981. After completing assignments for a year with various Tata companies, Ekbote was assigned with Telco to sell heavy vehicles in the international market. "My job was to sell trucks and buses in Africa. It was a tough task as we had to face a lot of competition from other international companies." After three years in Africa he was asked to work in the OECD market.
