   Lisbeth Eixarch i Queralt was born in Tortosa, Catalonia, lived her childhood and early youth in her motherland. She graduated with an M.S. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Barcelona. She started her career as the Continuing Education Coordinator for the Pharmaceutical Industry at Col.legi Sant Gervasi in Barcelona, Catalonia. She moved to the USA in 1995, where she is currently living. Upon her arrival in the USA, she worked as an analytical chemist at American Health Foundation in Valhalla, NY, investigating potential carcinogens present in tobacco. She continued her professional career in the Pharmaceutical industry first by joining Boeringher Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Ridgefield, CT, and later by joining Pfizer. Inc. in Groton, CT in 1998. Art is for Lisbeth the other chemistry necessary in her life, which is dominated by science. Not everything should be rationalized, nor seen through mathematical minds. Art is that that other chemistry that cannot be made in laboratories, the one that cannot be explained by equations but rather by the feelings created inside you, art is the expression without rational boundaries, and that which she cannot do without. Her interest in participating in the LNVA is due to the possibility of being able to share her Latin cultural heritage and enriching her community simultaneously with art.
