   Versailles, Oh. - Midmark President Dr. Anne Eiting Klamar recently received the Industry Award of Distinction from the Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA).The award was presented to Klamar at the MedSurg Conference and Expo in Chicago on September 19th, 2006, in recognition of her accomplishments as a leader in the medical industry.
   
   The Industry Award of Distinction is the highest honor one can receive from HIDA to recognize leadership in the advancement and support of distribution in healthcare.The award is given each year to one recipient, who is selected by the HIDA Executive Committee and Board of Directors.Past winners represent a "Who's Who" in the medical industry.
   
   As a member of the fourth generation of the Eiting family to hold the title of president, Midmark's Board of Directors voted Klamar into the role in April of 2000.Prior to joining to Midmark, she practiced for more than five years as a staff physician at Family Practice Physicians of Urbana, Ohio, and served as the director of the Well Child Clinic.She also served as an active member of Midmark's board since 1993 and also held the role of board secretary.
   
   Klamar received her B.S. from the University of Michigan and her doctoral degree from Ohio State University.She is currently enrolled in the Harvard University's Owner/Presidents' Management program, which is a three-year management course for company owners and executive management where she will continue to hone her skills in strategy development, organization leadership and management.Klamar lives in Versailles, Ohio with her husband, Rob, also a physician, and their two children.
