   Susan joined Building with Books in April 2003, as the Development Officer. She is responsible for all special events and expanding the annual appeal and individual giving.
   
   Susan has always possessed a strong interest in helping and supporting youth. She received her Masters of Social Work degree in clinical practice from the University of Michigan in 1977. For twenty years, she worked in both private practice and local agencies, helping to empower adolescents and their families. In 1997, after her long and satisfying involvement as a volunteer at the Windward School in White Plains, New York, Susan changed career paths when she was recruited to work as a development officer at the school, where she eventually was promoted to Development Director. She brings a broad range of experience in special event planning, annual fund development and constituent relations to BwB.
