Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Steven spent much of his youth in the hospitality industry, starting at the age of 12.After working in several restaurants in Atlanta, he attended college at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.

After graduating with an Associates Degree in Hotel-Restaurant Management and Bachelor's Degree in Food & Beverage Management, Steven returned to Atlanta to work during the 1996 Olympics.He worked for Masterpiece Creations, a full-service catering company at the Cobb Galleria Convention Center.Shortly after joining Masterpiece Creations, a new off-premise catering department was created which Steven directed.

Steven has worked with kosher foods and learned about this specialized market.Steven also spent time during his career in several large corporate owned hotels as a catering sales manager specializing in social events.

He has grown active in the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE), Atlanta's largest group of catering executives.In June 2003, Steven will earn the title of Certified Professional Catering Executive (CPCE), a designation demonstrating expertise in all areas of the catering and hospitality industry.

Steven has been active in many different charities including ALS, Cystic Fibrosis, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, City of Hope Cancer Center, Ronald McDonald House, Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, Hands On Atlanta , and the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Steven is also active member in the Atlanta Jewish Young Leadership Council.
