Doug Eisenhauer
Doug Eisenhauer , area farmer and businessman , recently announced his candidacy for House Seat 38 , and will be seeking the Democratic nomination in the upcoming special primary election July 10.
I believe my work across Kay , Grant and Alfalfa Counties , as well as my deep family roots and commitment to the area , are experiences and resources that would serve me well as State Representative , said Eisenhauer.
Eisenhauer is a fourth generation family farmer and currently resides on the family farm northwest of Newkirk. He is a graduate of Newkirk High School , attended Oklahoma State University , worked as the Moorman Feeds representative across this part of the state for over 20 years and is currently a licensed real estate associate.
Eisenhauer has served as a board member of the Kay Co. Rural Water District # 3 for 12 years , as a Minuteman for Kay Electric Cooperative , on the board of directors of the Newkirk Farmers Co-op , on the board of directors of the Ark Valley Credit Union and currently serves on the supervisory committee of the credit union. Doug's memberships include the Newkirk Chamber of Commerce and Newkirk Main Street. In high school , he was awarded the State FFA Star Farmer Degree and was more recently awarded an Honorary Chapter FFA Degree.
Eisenhauer is a lifetime member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Newkirk , where he has served as chairman , treasurer and elder and has served on numerous committees of the church. He currently serves as the church's Sunday School superintendent.
Eisenhauer and wife , Radena , are the parents of two children. -
