   Subsequently, however, Captain R. was informed that the commander of the Givati Brigade, Colonel Eyal Eisenberg, had decided two months ago that he did not want the officer reassigned to the brigade.
   
   Eisenberg did not give a reason for his decision, but it appears it came in light of the flaws exposed in a probe into the captain's performance both in the incident itself (regardless of the question at the center of the trial) and as company commander in general.
   
   Captain R. is not happy with the Givati commander's decision, and his attorneys are in talks with the brigade in an effort to have him reinstated to his unit.

   The Givati Brigade commander, Colonel Eyal Eisenberg, the commander of Shaked Battalion, and Lieutenant Colonel Ofer (his last name may not be published), considered removing him but decided to give him a chance and supervise him more closely, on the assumption that he was just setting out on his army career.
   
   The reaction at home was also interesting.
