Andrew L. Eisenberg is a partner in the Boston office of Seyfarth Shaw.His practice encompasses all aspects of labor and employment law.He represents both union and non-union employers in a variety of industries, primarily in the private sector, including education, food processing and distribution, retail, architecture/engineering, banking and financial services, transportation, hospitality, high tech, and manufacturing.He has particular experience representing clients in the hotel/restaurant, supermarket and banking industries.Mr. Eisenberg's labor law experience includes assisting the firm's clients in opposing union organizing campaigns, negotiating and advising clients with respect to the administration of collective bargaining agreements, and representing clients in grievance and arbitration proceedings, before the National Labor Relations Board and in court proceedings.He also assists clients with respect to the full range of employment issues, including discrimination claims and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Mr. Eisenberg regularly appears before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, including the United States Department of Labor, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
He also conducts management training programs on a variety of subjects relating to labor and employment issues, including union avoidance strategies and sexual harassment in the workplace.
Mr. Eisenberg is past president of the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston and past Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hebrew College in Boston.Over the years he has been active with many other local and national civic organizations, including the Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston, the Jewish Community Centers Association of North America and the United Jewish Appeal.
