   Angela Eiref is an associate in our tax group. Angela has been involved in a variety of transactions and tax planning matters, including corporate reorganizations and financings. In the course of her practice, she advises clients on federal, state and international tax issues, with an emphasis on cross-border issues, including tax treaty interpretation and transfer pricing.
   
   Angela co-authored the articles "U.S. Federal Income Taxation of Notional Principal Contracts and the Implication of New Treaty Provisions", Canadian Tax Journal (2003) Vol. 51, No. 6; "IRS Ruling Facilitates Debt-Equity Offering Useful in Cross-Border IPO", Journal of Taxation of Global Transactions, to be published Spring 2004; and "The Theory and Practicality of Double Taxation Treaties", published at Jesus College, Oxford, September 2001.
   
   Angela received her J.D. (cum laude) from Brooklyn Law School where she was also awarded a fellowship for the Study of International Business Law. She is currently pursuing an LL.M. in Taxation at the New York University School of Law. Prior to joining the firm, Angela worked as a summer associate for a leading law firm in London, England.
   
   Angela has intermediate knowledge of French and Italian, and a basic knowledge of Arabic.
