   The worst was the Killer Tomato Contest.
   
   Since moving from a place where my name didn't mean much to one where its meaning was, well, not of my choosing, I had, for the most part, gotten used to it.
   
   ...
   Back when it was mildly amusing, I even clipped a few for the refrigerator door: "INDIGENT EINHORN TO GET FREE LAWYER" or "EINHORN, COWARD AND KILLER, DRAWS CLOSER TO THE RECKONING."
   
   But the tomato contest really steamed me. That was in August 2000, when the newspaper I work for - my very livelihood! - offered a trip to France for someone who grew a tomato with "Einhorn-esque qualities," meaning "seedy, plump, tough-skinned, ripe-smelling and hard to pick."
   
   How was I supposed to take that?
   
   They couldn't have used "Ira-esque" qualities?
   ...
   As for Einhorn, the Census Bureau estimates there are fewer than 1,000 of us across the nation. There are 17 listed in the Philadelphia phone book.
   
   I'm usually the first Einhorn many people have met. In this town, that means the first thing they think when they meet me isn't "Wow, she's cool!"
   
   It's more likely: "Einhorn? Hmm. I wonder if she's..."
   
   "I've suffered many bad related-to-Ira jokes," said Walter Einhorn, a Philadelphia attorney who knows whence I speak. "One of my friends addresses me as 'Ira' in letters and things like that."
   
   Edgar Einhorn, who also is a Philadelphia attorney and who also is not related to Ira (or to Walter, or to me), says he had the extremely weird experience of suffering a heart attack in March 1979.
