   Richard was the founding President of the New York chapter of the International Special Event Society (ISES). He currently serves as President of the ISES Education Foundation. Richard has served on both the MPI and ISES International Boards of Directors where he chaired numerous committees. He is an adjunct Associate Professor at New York University Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism. Richard chaired New York's CEME Coalition for meetings and events which markets New York as a destination to the corporate sector. He has been named to the Meeting News Magazine's most influential list and served as their online event guru as well.
