   Lorraine Eiler was the founding chair of the International Sonoran Desert Alliance's board of directors. She has served on the Keystone Center National Policy Dialogue on Ecosystem Management and the Arizona-Mexico Commission Environmental Committee. Ms. Eiler is a retired nurse administrator for the Indian Health Service in Phoenix and in 1995 received the first annual Donald G. Shropshire Community Service Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the community among Arizona health care providers. She is a member of the Hia-ced O'odham (Sand Papago) Nation and is actively involved in O'odham affairs.
