   Bob founded Eiland Global Search (EGS) in 1987, after 7 years of working as an independent contingency recruiter. At EGS, he built an industry-acclaimed team specializing in mission-critical retainer-based searches for high tech companies. He has helped to build executive teams at Microsoft, Lotus/IBM, BBN/GTE, Frictionless/SAP, 3COM, Banyan, Bladelogic, Software.com and a host of other high tech companies.
   
   Bob's expertise is grounded in 5 years of social work, during which time he set up and directed an innovative community-based human services program for the Town of Weston, MA. Author of the career guidebook Rhyme and Reason, Bob has created and run hiring / job-search workshops that have proven popular at corporations as well as institutions including Harvard University. He donates time to a variety of charitable causes, and is the founder of the Gazebo Players, a theater group performing, among other things, annual Shakespeare in the Park productions.
