    COVINGTON - Henrik Eike, 74, died Monday, March 8, 2004.

    He was a native of Kormoy, Norway, and a resident of St. Tammany Parish for the past 18 years.

    He graduated from the Technical Institute in Stavanger, Norway.

    He immigrated to the United States in 1952 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1958.

    Together with Mr. And Mrs. Donald Kraus he helped form the St. Tammany Parish Foster Parents Association. He adopted and fostered many children.

    He was the 1998 king of the Krewe of Bilge and was a member of the Krewe of Dionysis in Slidell. He played for one of the first soccer teams in Louisiana that was sponsored by Jackson Brewing Co.

    He was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church.

    He retired as plant manager for the Maisonite Corp. and was a former superintendent of River Road Construction, Inc.
