   Often, original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) are finding it increasingly difficult to compete in the global market said Ron Eigenschink, supplier training manager for WMEP.
   
   "Small manufacturers cannot compete on price alone," noted Eigenschink. Therefore they must value add to their products in order to keep them competitive. One strategy has been to deliver additional value to the OEM's and keeping their supply base in the state. Some examples may be product development or rapid order fulfillment.
   
   "It is a good partnership," said Eigenschink.

   Ron Eigenschink, as Training Program Manager, is involved in the development and implementation of WMEP's Supplier Training Program. Ron has over 20 years of education experience. Before joining WMEP, Ron was the Dean of Industrial Occupations, the Associate Dean of the Transportation Technology Department, and an Instructor at Waukesha County Technical College. As Dean, Ron was responsible for both staff and budget administration of an occupational division with five Associate Deans and 97 staff members. Ron has a bachelor's degree in Management form Cardinal Stritch in Milwaukee and three 5-year Standard Certificates from the Wisconsin Technical College System as a Small Engine/Chassis Mechanic, Instructor, and Supervisor/Coordinator.
