Rochester, NY - December 14, 2001 - Med Graph, Inc. today announced that Dr. Michael Eiffert was elected to the Board of Directors to assist in the formulation and implementation of the company's advanced medical informatics research agenda. According to the American Medical Informatics Association, medical informatics is the science of understanding and promoting the effective organization, analysis, management, and use of information in health care.
Dr. Eiffert is Medical Chief Resident at Rochester General Hospital and also works as an attending emergency room physician. During his medical residency at the University of Rochester, Dr. Eiffert began researching the use of the Internet to monitor chronically ill patients. Software from this research is undergoing testing now. "I'm looking forward to continuing my work with Med Graph," said Dr. Eiffert."
