Mrs. Egan is a graduate of the Chicago Public Schools.After graduating high school, Mrs. Egan studied at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she graduated with a bachelors degree.Her major was biological sciences and her minor was chemistry.Mrs. Egan worked in research and development before taking time off to become a stay at home mother.Once her son reached school age, Mrs. Egan decided to enter into the educational profession.She participated in a program designed to help meet the need of science teachers in the Chicago Public Schools.Math and science teacher shortage is a national concern.Mrs. Egan is endorsed by the state of Illinois to teach the following subjects: Biology, Physiology, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, and General Science.
