Rev. Bruce Edwards , president of the Urban Leadership Council , which represents some 212 locally based organizations , stated that the council withdrew its 33rd annual anniversary awards and gala from the Philadelphia Adam's Mark.The gala was supposed to be held at the hotel this Friday.

Edwards said that the organization decided to pull its gala from the hotel after it realized that the hotel still had not rectified the situation with the African-American students.

It is wrong , he stated.We stand on the premise of what is right and godly , Edwards said.

After the Daytona Beach guests filed suit , the Florida Attorney General intervened on the guests' side and the U.S. Department of Justice filed a separate lawsuit of its own , which arose out of the Daytona Beach incident.
