Robin Edelstein, a high school math teacher at The Community School of Naples, was recognized by the National Youth Leadership Forum for encouraging high school students at the North Naples school to pursue their career interests.
Edelstein has nominated several students to participate in the forum programs in law, medicine, and/or defense, intelligence and diplomacy.
Last year, two students attended the educational programs in Washington, D.C.
The National Youth Leadership Forum offers career development programs to over 50,000 high school students nationwide.
Edelstein has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Vermont and a master's degree in mathematics education from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
A faculty member at the Community School of Naples since 1996, Edelstein has a total of 19 years of teaching experience.
