    Daniel Earle is coordinator of GOMI Mapping and a Nova Scotia Guide Team Member. Dan has a BLA and MLA in landscape architecture and a Ph.D. in marine science with a specialization in coastal zone management. He taught landscape architecture at Louisiana State University for 37 years before retiring and becoming a permanent resident of Canada. His teaching focus was on principles of sustainable design within a bio-regional context. Current activities include being VP of TREPA and organizer of atlas mapping projects for the Tusket River and St. Mary's Bay bio-regions. He and his wife, Sue, are members of the core group of the Gulf of Maine Expedition--an environmental awareness and educational venture led by a kayak team paddling from Cape Cod MA to Cape Sable NS from May to September of 2002 with seminar stops in 10 cities around the GOM. He is Director of the Gulf of Maine Expedition Association, Canada's GOMI associate.
