Going in it was expected this would be a close, tough series and Game 1 delivered as the teams, separated by one point in the regular season, kept up an incredible pace throughout a tilt that saw big hits, great chances and amazing saves from both Miramichi goalie Brad Dyke and Woodstock netminder Jordan Bent.

In fact, Dyke was key for the T-Wolves early as the Slammers outshot Miramichi 14-9 in the first and Dyke was called upon to make some big saves, something Woodstock head coach Jason Tatarnic alluded to after the game.
