In all, there have been 10 over-capacity water days this year, compared with none in 2006 and no more than a few in any year before that, said Angie Dye, spokeswoman for Veolia Water, which serves most of the Indianapolis area.Area residents also set a record for the most water pumped in a single day this summer: 228 million gallons on June 13, up from 225 gallons in 2005.Under the advisory issued Friday -- the third in four months -- Veolia customers are being asked to water their lawns no more than every other day through Friday.Veolia is not yet looking at stricter or involuntary limits, Dye said, but will consider extending the voluntary restrictions if the numbers aren't down."It's possible with 90-degree temperatures and no rain the rest of the week, we could easily be back up at the capacity level until Friday," she said.
