    Andrew W. Dye, 27, of Wooster, left this earth on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, to be with our heavenly Father after sustaining injuries in a car accident.

    He was the son of Randy and Linda Dunn Dye.Andy worked at National Carpet Mill Outlet and Wayne Lanes bowling alley.

    Numerous people over the years have commented on what a nice person Andy was - well mannered, friendly and always ready to help someone when they needed help.He was a very caring person to everyone.Andy was a natural-born athlete.In grade school he played basketball and football.He also joined Little League with his dad as his coach.He was a great pitcher, but also played any other spot on the field.His teams did very well, even having one season with no losses.Andy moved on into the Hot Stove with his dad still at his side coaching.He then moved up into high school baseball.Andy was a pitcher but also could play first base or the outfield.In 1998, the Wooster High School baseball team made it to the regional finals at Thurman Munson Stadium in Canton.Andy was called on to pitch the team out of a jam or the season was over.He stepped on the mound and pitched a brilliant series, getting three outs and not allowing the other team to score.Wooster went on to win and go to the state finals in Columbus.He also played baseball in the summer and fall leagues.Several times he pitched no-hitters and even pitched a perfect game once.

    Andy decided at a young age that he really liked to bowl.He joined junior bowling, moved up to senior bowling and then to adult bowling.Along the way, he won many awards.As an adult, he had three 300 games, several 299 games and numerous games of 290-plus.

    He participated in Scouts.Andy started out in Tiger Cubs, and then went up into Cub Scouts with his dad as den leader.He later moved up to the Boy Scouts.Through hard work and dedication and with help from his leaders and parents, he attained the rank of Eagle Scout from Troop 68, which is the highest award given to a Boy Scout.

    He also found time to participate in golf and summer league softball.

    Andy is survived by his parents of Wooster; the love of his life, his wife, Loni Nicole (nee Treadman) of Wooster, whom he married, Sept. 3, 2005 - they were truly soul mates, bringing out the best in each other; his brother and best friend, Jason of Wooster; in-laws, Wanda and Windell Mitchell of Smithville; sister-in-law, Sarah of Smithville; brother-in-law, Wes of Smithville; grandparents, Ruth and Jim Dye of Wooster; aunt, Sandy "Sis" (Jim) Arman of Burbank; uncles, Terry Dunn of Cincinnati and Bob (Barb) Dunn of Wooster; and special friends, Greg Kiper of Wooster and Big Al and family of Wooster.

    He had a huge number of close friends, too many to mention, but you know who you are.

    Andrew gave the gift of sight through eye donation.

    We didn't keep Andy with us very long, but he still made an impact on many people's lives.He may be gone from our sight, but not from our hearts or our memories.
