Yes, I'll give Alice some props, too. She suggested the island green at the TPC of Sawgrass, the elevated fairways serving up ocean views at the Ocean course at Kiawah Island and the pseudo-island green surrounded by bunkers with wooden planks at Harbor Town. http://www.travelgolf.com/blogs/jason.scott/2009/02/07/pete dye golf courses book chronicles a #c63772

Why, in all of this, is there no discussion of the impact of Alice Dye? She has worked with Pete since Day one and is so passionate about their work. I had the unique opportunity to place with Alice right before the PGA Show and she is a gem...not only is she still a fantastic golfer but she has stories that won't quit. She, too, served as president of the Golf Course Architects. Now all of us know that behind every successful man is a great woman pushing him every inch of the way, but never was this truer than with Alice Dye (he calls her "Allie."). It was a privilege to meet her. A privilege to play golf with her. And a privilege to get a tip from her, which has really helped my game. Would someone please pay the appropriate attention to Alice with she and Pete are still so vibrantly with us? http://www.travelgolf.com/blogs/jason.scott/2009/02/07/pete dye golf courses book chronicles a #c63769
