In 2005, Juan Carlos Dupuy was appointed head of Cuba's Henry Reeves Brigade - the team of medical professionals ready to respond to international disasters and emergencies at a moments notice.

Dr Dupuy was also a delegate for the Cuban Heath Workers Union(SNTS) at the 2006 Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC) union confederation Congress in 2006.

These meetings were also attended by Iván Mora, deputy chief of the Cuban Mission; Gustavo Machín, Cuban ambassador in Pakistan, and Juan Carlos Dupuy, head of the Henry Reeve Contingent, among other dignitaries. (AIN)

During the ceremony, the Lieutenant General presented special plaques to Rodríguez; Iván Mora, the Cuban ambassador to Pakistan; Dr. Juan Carlos Dupuy, general coordinator of the Henry Reeve International Contingent; and diplomas to the directors of the Cuban field hospitals and to heads and professors of the Women's Medical College, where the island's hospital in Abbottabad was established.
