  By qualifying for the NHRA Toyo Tires nationals this past weekend, Driver Bob Vandergriff Jr and Crew Chief Jim Dupuy secured the 6th position in points for the dog fight which is the top eight in points.Dupuy tuned the UPS digger to a 4.562@ 322 mph which securely put them in the # 8 qualifying position and secured them the 6th position in the championship points.

  Dupuy played it like a seasoned veteran for his final round tuneup.Knowing the Schumacher car had the performance advantage all day, he tuned his car up just a little and would make Schumacher win it honestly and if they stumbled just a little, Vandergriff would be there to take it.He did his job and left first and ran a very respectable 4.59, he just did not have enough to hold off Schumachers strong 4.53.
