Jim Dupuy and team have really turned there program around for the 2007 season proving that they are a car to be taken seriously week in and week out.

By qualifying for the NHRA Toyo Tires nationals this past weekend, Driver Bob Vandergriff Jr and Crew Chief Jim Dupuy secured the 6th position in points for the dog fight which is the top eight in points.
Dupuy tuned the UPS digger to a 4.562@ 322 mph which securely put them in the # 8 qualifying position and secured them the 6th position in the championship points.

Dupuy played it like a seasoned veteran for his final round tuneup.
Knowing the Schumacher car had the performance advantage all day, he tuned his car up just a little and would make Schumacher win it honestly and if they stumbled just a little, Vandergriff would be there to take it.
He did his job and left first and ran a very respectable 4.59, he just did not have enough to hold off Schumachers strong 4.53.

Veteran Vandergriff Crew Chief Jim Dupuy overcame adversity and treacherous heat to march his way to the final by taking out hitters Tony Schumacher, JR Todd and Rod Fuller only to come up short in the money round against Brandon Bernstein.

Dupuy is really starting to get a handle on his race car and it will only be a matter of time before they put that UPS car in the winners circle!
