Gary D. Dupuy, PG
Vice President and Principal Hydrogeologist
...
Mr. Dupuy specializes in hydrology, hydrogeology, and engineering geology to environmental projects.
His broad experience includes evaluation and remediation of subsurface soil and groundwater, landfill studies, property transfer assessments, wetlands rehabilitation, water resources studies, and hazardous waste and materials management throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Mr. Dupuy's strengths include providing technical direction and strategy for complex projects.
He is also highly skilled at interaction and negotiation with agencies at federal, state, and local levels to obtain permits and provide compliance with environmental regulations.
Over the past 10 years, Mr. Dupuy has managed a number of large, complex remediation construction projects including five design-build projects.
These construction projects, which ranged in project cost from $1 million to $14 million, included the closure of two landfills in Alaska; installation of a 5000 linear foot slurry-trench barrier wall and construction of a Class I landfill cell in California; construction of two containment systems using vibrated beam barrier wall technology in Washington; and a slurry wall, cap and bioremediation system in Washington.
From a regulatory perspective, Mr. Dupuy has managed or provided regulatory and technical support on more than 20 RCRA facilities including completing several RCRA closures and corrective actions.
In addition, his CERCLA experience extends across the western U.S including Alaska on a broad range of industrial facilities, multi-party groundwater plumes, and landfills.
Although Mr. Dupuy has worked on the full spectrum of contaminant types, he has considerable experience in investigating and developing remediation strategies for sites with a multiple complex of hazardous constituents including having worked on more than 15 large chlorinated solvent sites.
In addition, he has been heavily involved in landfill siting, design, clean-up, and closure.
