Nancy Dunning's Biography

Ms. Dunning has practiced in the areas of domestic law, successions and donations, consumer and commercial debt collections and transactions, lending practices, commercial litigation and hospital law, including conducting in-house seminars on issues of admissions, patient consent and confidentiality and employee liability.Ms. Dunning has also practiced as a criminal defense attorney and is certified as a capital murder defender.Ms. Dunning's practice is currently concentrated on general civil litigation including civil rights, commercial and employment disputes.

Ms. Dunning received a B.S. from Louisiana State University and a Master of Arts degree from the former University of Southwestern Louisiana in secondary education.She received her law degree from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1978 and worked for the Louisiana State Law Institute and the Center for Civil Law Studies before entering private practice.

Ms. Dunning was winner of the Tullis Moot Court competition in 1978 and is a member of the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center Hall of Fame.Ms. Dunning is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Vermilion Parish Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
