   There are few organisations capable of helping companies develop software applications on the .Net platform.No one is providing a full range of services such as business analysis, readiness assessment, .Net architecture, project management, development, testing, deployment, training, launch management and commercialisation."Even the most promising .Net solutions are vulnerable without the right resources.We have met companies with great ideas to utilize the .Net development platform.But they have failed to get past the early stages of development because they cannot engage certified and experienced resources capable of delivering quality results," according to Dunne.Following proposals to senior Microsoft executives, NIBN are working with Microsoft on a number of initiatives including setting up of an innovation center for Microsoft partners developing on the .Net platform which would also provide low cost, high value services to Microsoft's customers deploying .Net solutions."NIBN plan to use facilities on Microsoft Ireland's campus to develop, test and show case solutions with partners and for the benefit of customers.We hope to have some announcements in time for the April release of Windows Server 2003 and Visual Studio .Net 2003," says Dunne.
   
   Dunne left Microsoft in October 2002 after 5 years as a business manager to pursue this opportunity.He is a Chartered Accountant with extensive consulting and corporate finance experience.Over the past few months he has been developing NIBN's relationship with Microsoft across Europe.Dunne is also continuing to recruit a strong team of both business and technical professionals, including some former colleagues from Microsoft.
