Prior to forming Hatteras, Jay provided financial advisory services to numerous healthcare and technology companies.Previously, he was founder and President of Backwire, Inc., a media and technology company that was acquired in 2001.Prior to Backwire, he worked for ASB Capital Management and Graham, Hamilton & Co. as an equity analyst covering various industries and special situations.Following his undergraduate degree, he was an economist for Prince Charles of England in Kenya.He received a B.A. in Economics from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond.Hatteras employs a research-driven discipline to identify and acquire a select portfolio of special situation securities trading at a significant discount to our appraisal of their private market value.
