A native of Columbia, Maryland, Christopher Dunn is an active performer in the Baltimore/Washington area as a soloist and chamber musician.
He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music of the Johns Hopkins University,studying under nationally acclaimed guitarist, Julian Gray, and his Master of Music degree under the tutelage of Ray Chester. He has participated in master classes with guitarists Sergio Assad, Manuel Barruecco, John Holmquist, and David Russell. Dunn is a recipient of the Spotlight on the Arts Scholarship and the Peabody Merit Scholarship Award, and has been awarded an artist's recording grant from the Peabody Conservatory. Solo performances this past year have included the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.; the United States Department of State "State of the Arts" cultural series; the residence of the Guatemalan Ambassador to the United States; Church of the Epiphany with choir in Washington, D.C.; and the "Under the Dome" concert series at the Saint Phillips and James Catholic Church in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dunn will tour Japan, Costa Rica, and the United States this season as a member of the Aurora Guitar Quartet.
