Carl Rhea Dunn Sr.
MARIONVILLE -- Carl Rhea Dunn Sr., 82, died Oct. 11, 2002, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was born in Afton, Tenn. He was the son of the late Samuel Marion Dunn and the late Jennie Mae Knight Dunn, Clinchport, Va.
Mr. Dunn was a former member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Norfolk, but had attended Red Bank Baptist Church in Marionville for the past 25 years and was a member of the Red Bank Men's Club.
He was a retired 20-year Navy veteran and was a recipient of the Bronze Star and was a former prisoner of war during World War II. After retiring from the Navy, he worked for West Chemical Products from which he retired. He was a 50-year member of the Clinchport Masonic Lodge No. 267 AF&AM of Virginia.
