While in San Diego, the President had the opportunity to participate in a roundtable discussion at the University of California San Diego with Mr. Bruce Dunn, Associate Dean, Mr. Peter Thomas, Global Connect Director of Operations and Dr. Carolyn W.B. Lee, Global Connect Director of Research, as well as meet privately with Dr. Kazuo Kawamura, President of Gemini Science, Inc., Dr. Mary Walshok, Associate Vice Chancellor for Public Programs at the University of California San Diego, Dr. John Wetherell, Partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP and Mr. Joe Panetta, President & CEO of BIOCOM.

Bruce Dunn, MPA.; is Director of Business and Professional Education at UCSD Extension.A former executive with two national housing finance organizations, and a program analyst for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Bruce integrates his public-private and practice-based perspectives into management training workshops he conducts for San Diego professionals.He holds a masters degree from Brigham Young University.He specializes in strategic thinking and organizational structure.

Dorothy ("Locke") Epsten, MBA; is Director of Corporate Education at UCSD Extension.Formerly Vice President of Marketing for the General Group of Companies, Locke combines a knowledge of competitive strategy and management in technology industries with a flair for market-making to provide custom educational experiences for fast-moving organizations.She has taught business subjects at United States International University, and specializes in strategic management and marketing for small technology firms.

Bruce Dunn, M.A. is the Associate Dean of Academic Programs and Resource Planning at UCSD Extension.Bruce is responsible for facilitating the development and management of programs that serve the advanced education needs of the San Diego professional community, while also increasing access to the faculty and research of the university.Along with his academic and administrative duties, Bruce is a guest trainer/consultant with University Associates and with the Centre for Organization Effectiveness.Bruce is a graduate of Brigham Young University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science with dual minors in economics and computer science from Weber State University, Utah.
