Description: In this two day workshop, Mr. Dunlap will demonstrate an approach to painting the figure from life in a traditional manner, emphasizing the effect of light on form.

Hollis Dunlap received his BFA in Painting from Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in 1999.He is a founding faculty member of the Garde Arts Center, and has also taught at the Mystic Art Association and Lyme Art Association.He has received numerous awards and is represented in many private collections.

Lyme Art Association Instructor Hollis Dunlap espouses staying true to what you believe in and what you like in the first place, in art and in life.And he sees natural connections between himself and the Lyme Art Association.On Saturday and Sunday, February 16 and 17, Dunlap will conduct a workshop in Figure Painting.

Hollis Dunlap will monitor "All Day Figure Poses" on Sundays from 9am- 4pm, and instruct a class in "Painting the Figure" on Tuesdays from 6-9 pm.Hollis is a graduate of the Lyme Academy of Art and while there was the first student artist to be awarded First Prize at New York's National Arts Club exhibitions two years in a row.
