  I am a distributer for ANSUL, AMEREX, BADGER fire extinguishers.I think that promoting fire saftey in vehicles is of utmost importance, however, the promotion of Halon extinguishers should be researched a little better.Halon has been banned by the EPA because of its Ozone depletion properties, what this means is that the production of new Halon was haulted and alternitaves need to be researched.
  
  Since then (around 1997) the major mfg. have developed Halotron, Cleanguard and other alternitives.

  I am very well versed as to why HALON manufacturing was curtailed.However, contrary to your implications in your note which states "Halon has been banned by the EPA because...", in fact, HALON sales in the US are not banned.As I am sure you understand - until the current reserve is depleted, Halon will continue to be offered to the US consumers.At current stockpiled reserves with current consumption/expiration rates of Halon, some experts/manufacturers estimates extend availability of Halon well beyond the next several years.
  
  Further, being personally involved in track driving, I am personally aware of the alternatives that are being offered to Halon as well.

  The first Regional Chapter of the online Porsche Enthusiast Group, RENNLIST, gained approval today from Rennlist founder, John Dunkle. Thomas Sollars, Phoenix area Porsche enthusiast and Spec-944 Treasurer/Webmaster, is currently in the planning Stages with Mr. Dunkle in order to iron out the details of the Chapter.

  I am pleased to announce, with the support of John D., the creation of the finest online Porsche car directory (a.k.a. registry).
  
  P-CarOnline.com, with the help of Rennlist, will hopefully become the most comprehensive Porsche directory on the Internet.
  
  I'd like to list some of the features P-CarOnline.com has:
  
  · Members receive a P-CarProfile page, with the ability to upload 6 different images.· The P-CarProfile page has a "static" url, so that members can put their URL in the signature of forum posts or emails (i.e. http://www.p-caronline.com/directory/admin)
