   Hugh Dunkerley Hugh Dunkerley has an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Lancaster. He has published one collection of poetry, Walking to the Fire Tower (Redbeck Press, 1997) as well as poetry in magazines and anthologies both here and in North America. In 1992 he won an Eric Gregory Award and, in 1999, was a Hawthornden Fellow. His research interests include contemporary poetry and the environment (eco-criticism), and at present he is working on a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing. He is currently West Sussex Poet Laureate. He has recently returned from a writing residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts. Hugh is the co-founder, with Dave Swann, of the monthly Tongues and Strings evenings of poetry, prose and music which take place in Chichester and to which MA students often contribute.
