   Melanie Dunford joined the YOVASO organization in August, 2005. She will be serving as the program's Communication Assistant. She comes to the organization from the radio industry where she spent two years working as a reporter and anchor and focused on health and safety news. She holds an Associate's Degree in Science from Southwest Virginia Community College and a Bachelor's Degree in Media Studies with a concentration in Journalism from Radford University .
   
   Melanie will be responsible for all operations dealing with communications and media within the organization. She is excited about the chance to work with the YOVASO program, and hopes to help the organization grow over the coming years. She will be working hard to ensure that communities all over the state of Virginia will come to know what YOVASO is all about by helping the organization with name recognition.
